What are we learning? Last week: Students are tasked to recreate Leonardo Da Vinci's Bridge of the Golden Horn. Each student must recreate the bridge from Da Vinci's original blue prints to create a temporary, collapsable, weight bearing (up to 10 lbs.) and transportable bridge. This week: Mona Lisa - iconic image will be recreated by students from all 4 classes. The collective art piece will be made square by square from the grid that has been laid out over Da Vinci's painting and then displayed as a huge mosaic installation. Next week: Building Leonardo Da Vici's Parachute Prototype. Students will solve geometry and physics problems to design a parachute model utilizing Da Vinci's blueprint. Parachute Maker Space Challenge will require students to make their design glide and land from 10 feet in the Air.
